State Trooper Report

Feb. 4

Alaska State Troopers at 12:19 a.m. went to a report of a disturbance at a Nikolaevsk home. Troopers found a 58-year-old Anchor Point man extremely drunk and belligerent. Troopers said the man demolished the inside of a home and then drove his car into another family member’s car. Troopers arrested the man for two counts of third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct and took him to Wildwood Pretrial Facility, Kenai.

Troopers at 8:59 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 48-year-old Anchor Point woman in Anchor Point. Troopers said the woman’s car had license plates from a different car. Troopers cited the woman for improper use of plates and failure to provide proof of insurance.

Troopers at 3:15 p.m. stopped the driver of a blue Ford Ranger pickup truck with an expired license plate. Troopers checked the license of the driver, a 77-year-old Anchor Point man, and cited him with driving while license cancelled.

Bureau of Highway Patrol Troopers at 3:34 p.m. stopped a 25-year-old Ninilchik man driving a Toyota Camry near Mile 103 Sterling Highway in Soldotna. Troopers said the man had a suspended  Arizona driver’s license and cited him for driving while license suspended.

Feb. 7

A person at 8:17 p.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a person driving a white Chevrolet pickup truck near Mile 18 Seward Highway near Girdwood. Troopers stopped the suspect driver, a 49-year-old Anchor Point man, and arrested him for DUI, narcotics. He was taken to the Anchorage Jail.
