July 11

Alaska State Troopers at 2:33 p.m. received a report from a 34-year-old Kasilof woman that someone took a back pack with her wallet from her car. She said the person charged fuel on her credit card twice between Ninilchik and Kasilof. Troopers were waiting for confirmation of video coverage from both gas stations. The investigation is continuing.

July 13

Bureau of Highway Patrol troopers at 11:21 p.m. stopped the driver of a 1998 Toyota near Mile 111 Sterling Highway for a traffic violation. Troopers said the driver, a 20-year-old Anchor Point woman, had a suspended license for a points system violation. They cited her for driving while license suspended.

July 14

Troopers at 12:50 p.m. went to a disturbance at a Cottonwood Drive home in Anchor Point. Troopers alleged that a 21-year-old Anchor Point man assaulted a family member and prevented the person from calling 911 by taking a phone. Troopers arrested the man for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and interfering with a report of domestic violence. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

July 15

Troopers at 10:48 p.m. went to a car crash on Wilderness Lane in Homer. Troopers said a 37-year-old man driving a 1997 Honda Passport lost control and hit trees on the side of the road. The man was uninjured and the car had $1,000 in damages. Troopers allege the man drove drunk and arrested him for driving under the influence.

July 18

Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 48-year-old Homer man at the Kenai dock for failure to mark personal-use caught salmon.

July 19

Troopers at 9:55 p.m. while on patrol near Mile 157 Sterling Highway saw a man in a tan Subaru with no front bumper drive past the Anchor Point Trooper Post. Troopers saw the car parked at the Anchor River store and verified the driver to be a 28-year-old Anchor Point man who had a revoked license. They arrested the man for driving while license revoked.

Troopers at 10:28 p.m. went to a single-vehicle rollover near Mile 7 East End Road. Troopers said a 22-year-old Homer man lost control of his sport utility vehicle, causing it to roll once. Kachemak Emergency Services EMTs responded and took the man to South Peninsula Hospital for minor injuries.

July 20

Troopers a 7:22 p.m. went to four-car crash with damage in Anchor Point. Before arriving, witnesses told troopers a driver in a maroon Pontiac Grand Am involved in the accident left the scene. Troopers stopped a car matching the description near Mile 152.5 Sterling Highway and identified the driver as a 44-year-old Anchor Point woman. Troopers allege she had a revoked license and no liability insurance and arrested her for leaving the scene of an accident, driving while license revoked and not having liability insurance.
