April 2

Alaska State Troopers at 9:11 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 32-year-old Homer man driving a Chrysler mini-van near Mile 1 East End Road. Troopers arrested the man for driving under the influence and possession of a personal-use amount of marijuana.

April 6

Troopers at 9:25 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 39-year-old Kenai man in Homer. Troopers arrested him on an outstanding warrant.

April 9

Troopers at 8:10 p.m. went to a car crash on East Skyline Drive. Troopers said a 29-year-old Homer woman driving west in a 2010 Jeep Wrangler lost control of her car which slid into the opposite lane of travel, hitting a  2009 water tanker driven by a 48-year-old Anchor Point man. All occupants wore seat belts and no injuries were reported. 

Troopers at 2:58 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 32-year-old Homer woman driving a Ford Explorer near Mile 160 Sterling Highway near Anchor Point after she was seen crossing the center line and driving in the oncoming lane. Troopers arrested her for DUI, drugs, possession of a personal-use amount of marijuana and violating conditions of release. 

April 15

Troopers at 3:30 a.m. went to an Anchor Point home for a 911 call from an Anchor Point woman reporting that her husband, a 65-year-old Anchor Point man, was unconscious and unresponsive. Anchor Point Emergency Medical Services also responded. EMTs were unable to resuscitate the man and he was pronounced dead. No foul play was suspected.
