A person at 12:40 a.m. contacted on officer on patrol near Mile 170 Sterling Highway and reported people with flashlights acting suspiciously on property in the area.
A man at 2:50 p.m. reported a verbal dispute between a man and a woman at a Main Street apartment complex parking lot. Police responded and separated the parties.
A woman at 10:33 p.m. reported a domestic disturbance at a Kachemak Way address. Police responded and separated the parties for the evening.
Police at 10:28 a.m. received a 911 phone call with an open line. The dispatcher heard men talking about frying cod. Nothing suspicious was heard.
Alaska State Troopers at 8:21 p.m. went to a single-car rollover near Mile 137 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik. Troopers said a 55-year-old Anchor Point woman lost control of her 1988 Ford Ranger and rolled it. She and her passenger, a 58-year-old Anchor Point man, wore seatbelts and were not injured. Troopers cited the woman for not having vehicle insurance.
Troopers at 7:08 p.m. made a traffic stop in Homer on a 27-year-old Ninilchik man. Troopers arrested him on an outstanding warrant.
Troopers at 3:10 p.m. made a traffic stop in Homer on a 26-year-old Homer man. Troopers arrested him for driving while license revoked.
Troopers at 9:56 p.m. contacted a 29-year-old Ninilchik man during an investigation at South Peninsula Hospital and allege he caused a disturbance. Troopers arrested him for disorderly conduct.
Troopers at 11:41 a.m. received a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a person driving a 2000 GMC Yukon who appeared to be drunk. Troopers found the Yukon in a snow bank on Garroutte Street in Ninilchik and arrested the driver, a 66-year-old Ninilchik man, for driving under the influence. He was taken to the Homer Jail.
Troopers at 12:45 p.m. contacted a 23-year-old Ninilchik woman during a DUI investigation at a Garroutte Street address in Ninilchik. Troopers said the woman had a warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while license revoked. Troopers arrested the woman.
Troopers at 5:10 p.m. went to a report of a disturbance at a home near Mile 141 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik. Troopers contacted a 37-year-old Ninilchik man and said he was drunk and in violation of his parole. Troopers allege the man also assaulted a family member. Troopers arrested the man for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and violating parole.
Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited a 54-year-old Soldotna man who landed individual fishing quota halibut with an improper Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission permit card during the 2012 halibut IFQ fishery. Troopers allege the man landed halibut by long line when his CFEC card was for landing halibut by hand line.
Troopers at 8:35 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 26-year-old Homer man in Homer and arrested him for driving while license suspended.
Troopers at 8:27 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 33-year-old Homer man in Homer and cited him for driving while license revoked.
Troopers at 10:36 a.m. contacted a 22-year-old Wasilla woman in the parking lot of the Homer Courthouse who had car problems. Troopers allege the woman drove with a revoked license and that she did not immediately inform them she had a concealed weapon. Troopers arrested her for fifth-degree weapons misconduct and driving while license revoked.
Troopers at 6:50 p.m. made a traffic stop and contacted two Homer men ages 22 and 24. Troopers allege both possessed marijuana and the 22-year-old man had a gravity knife. Troopers arrested the 22-year-old man and cited the 24-year-old man for sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.
Troopers at 5:46 p.m. made a traffic stop on a car near Mile 165 Sterling Highway. Troopers arrested a passenger, a 25-year-old Anchor Point woman, on an outstanding warrant for theft.
Troopers at 10:23 a.m. received a report that a Caterpillar 966C front-end loader and a large amount of diesel fuel had been stolen from property on the Sterling Highway north of Diamond Ridge Road in Homer. At about 5 p.m. troopers found the front-end loader on Kettle View Avenue near the Sterling Highway property after receiving a citizen’s tip. An investigation continues.
Troopers at 2:17 p.m. went to a report that a man walking near Mile 135 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik had been hit by a truck. Troopers said a driver in a blue 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck hit the man while he walked on the shoulder. The man was taken to Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna for treatment of his injuries.
Troopers at 5:31 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 47-year-old Anchor Point man in Anchor Point. Troopers arrested the man for driving while license revoked and on an outstanding warrant.
Troopers at 1:16 p.m. went to Basargin Road near Voznesenka for a collision between a four-wheeler and a car. Troopers said a boy driving at a high-rate of speed on the four-wheeler lost control and slid in the front of a Ford Escape. The boy and his passenger were thrown from the four-wheeler. Both were taken to South Peninsula Hospital with serious injuries. No one in the Ford was injured.
Troopers at 10:25 a.m. received a 911 call from a man who said he had been assaulted by another man at a Happy Valley home. The man said he barricaded himself in his bedroom. Troopers responded and said a 44-year-old man assaulted his roommate. Troopers arrested the 44-year-old man for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.
