Jan. 10
A man at 9:25 a.m. reported he hit a dog while driving on East End Road. Police notified animal control.
A woman at 5:01 p.m. reported she lost her purse in a Sterling Highway parking lot.
Police at 5:07 p.m. helped the animal control officer with serving a citation at a Pioneer Avenue address.
Police at 5:10 p.m. served a restraining order on a person at a Fairview Avenue address.
A man at 6:46 p.m. reported prescription medicine was stolen from his Jenny Way home.
A man at 6:48 p.m. reported hearing gunshots in the Island View Court area. He called back later and said he the noise came from fireworks.
Police at 9:19 p.m. assisted firefighters with a fire on Mount Augustine Drive.
Jan. 11
A woman at 2:24 a.m. reported she felt odd and might hurt someone. She asked police to help. Police responded and took a 30-year-old woman into protective custody.
A man at 10:32 a.m. reported a hit-and-run collision on East End Road.
A man at 11:24 a.m. reported an inattentive person driving near Mile 169 Sterling Highway.
A man at 11:49 a.m. reported a theft from a car on Ocean Drive.
A man at 2:15 p.m. reported aggressive driving on East End Road.
A caller at 5:40 p.m. reported a person acting erratically. Police responded and took the person to the hospital for evaluation.
A caller at 4:25 p.m. reported a stray cat at the Homer landfill. Police advised animal control.
A caller at 8:35 p.m. reported an expected death of an 82-year-old woman at her Race Road home.
Several people at 8:55 p.m. made 911 calls of an accident on the Sterling Highway near West Hill Road.
Several people at 11 p.m. reported their cars would be left longer than expected at the airport parking lot because of delays or cancellations of flights from Anchorage.

A caller at 5:35 p.m. reported people exhibiting suspicious behavior at a Hazel Avenue parking lot.
A caller at 9:51 p.m. reported a person refused to leave a Lake Street address. Police responded and arrested a 54-year-old woman for trespassing and marijuana possession.
A woman at 10:56 p.m. reported children she was baby sitting at a Bunnell Avenue address had gone missing. Police responded and determined the call was unfounded.
Jan. 13
A caller at 5:28 a.m. reported finding a large white dog.
A man at 5:35 a.m. spoke with an officer and during the interview reported his juvenile son had run away several days earlier. Police found the boy and returned him to his parents.
Police at 4:05 p.m. assisted a mental health worker in transporting a child to the hospital.
A woman at 3 p.m. reported flooding on Iris Court. Police notified Public Works.
A woman at 5:05 p.m. reported someone shining a flashlight through her window in the Iris Court area. Police determined it was a Public Works employee working on a sewer problem in the area.
Jan. 14
A caller at 2:04 a.m. reported a break in attempt in progress at a Jenny Way home. Police responded and took a woman to the hospital.
Several callers at 11:20 a.m. reported a road hazard near mile 170.5 Sterling Highway. Police responded to survey road damage.
A man at 11:45 a.m. reported loss of property from a local shipping company at an Ocean Drive Loop address.
A caller at 7:29 p.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a person driving near Mile 5 East End Road. Police stopped the suspect vehicle and arrested a passenger, a 20-year-old man, on an outstanding warrant and making a false report.
