Huskies place six in Top 10 at middle school ski meet

The Homer Middle School Huskies placed three girls and three boys in the top 10 during the Kenai Peninsula Borough Middle School Ski Meet held Saturday at the Kenai Golf Course. The meet was hosted by Kenai Middle School. The meet consisted of a 3k skate race followed by a 3k classic race.

The top female skier from Homer is seventh-grader Mia Alexson, who took second. Another seventh-grader, Charles Rohr, took top honors for the Homer boys, placing fourth.

“This team had a terrific season, all of them improving and all of them having a blast,” according to a press release.
