Health fair sets new record

One thousand three hundred and eight-five people is a new record. The 32nd Annual Rotary Health Fair set a new attendance record this year.

On behalf of the 60 members of the Homer Kachemak Bay Rotary Club and our partner South Peninsula Hospital we want to say thank you again!

To everyone who came out to see what we have to offer and “Take a day to be well,” we say thank you. Thanks for listening to our radio ads and reading  the great information provided by the Homer News.

To all the exhibitors who give up their time to bring this important community event to us, we thank you. Based on attendance we know the community appreciates the exhibitors’ time and efforts in addition to the low-cost blood tests.

From the volunteer cashiers to the guys who bring in the tables, from the Rotary Health Fair Committee to the folks who draw our blood so gently, we thank you for making this another great year.

It takes a lot of volunteers from a Rotary Club and a great hospital — both made up of our wonderful friends and neighbors — to make a Rotary Health Fair happen.

Thank you. We’ll save a blood draw for you next year.
