Homer recently lost another icon. Pat Arnold, the weathered Bike Lady, passed away last week. We remember her, hour after hour, day after day, year after year, regardless of sun, wind and ice, bundled in heavy rain gear, laboriously and incessantly pedaling along the Spit. 

To some of us she was a nut, to others a mystery. But as we swiftly passed her toward our daily destinations, she inadvertently gave us pause for reflection, a moment to step back and wonder what drives us all and where we are headed.
