Auxiliary supports hospital

You see, but may not know … a commendable effort.

You see them at health fairs, longterm care, the hospital gift shop, the hospital gardens, with “Boo Bears” in the ER, in the hospital book fair, hospital appreciation week (serving desserts), helping  a newcomer find a department of the hospital, sewing, baking, selling, creating, reading, ordering, interviewing, weeding, fund-raising, donating to imaging, longterm care, gardens, chapel room, Christmas parties, candlelight dinners, tray favors, flowers and more.

They are your South Peninsula Hospital Auxiliary Members who donate time, ideas, money, equipment and work hours as well as the meeting time every month all year to our Homer hospital. Average volunteer hours given to South Peninsula Hospital per month totals 178 hours.

The purpose of the South Peninsula Hospital Auxiliary is to promote, support and advance the welfare, comfort and dignity of the patients and their families or friends who are treated at the South Peninsula Hospital through ways approved by the hospital administration and in accordance with the article of incorporation. We, members of auxiliary, are proud of our hospital and its staff and will continue to support the medical facility and its staff by evaluating needs for the departments of the hospital and its patients.
