Brother Asaiah continues to help

Homer Head Start would like to thank the Homer Foundation for administering the Brother Asaiah Bates Fund, a field of interest fund, which has brought local artists into our school. Brother Asaiah developed this fund to enrich  the lives of young Homer children who attend Homer Head Start. Creative expression is fundamental for healthy social and emotional development and we were pleased to have had local artists inspire the children. Over the past year the children of Homer Head Start sang and danced with John Cottingham, Ben Tyrer and Tyson Alteri, created visual arts with Rosana Moyer, enjoyed celebrations in nature with Red Martin, experienced the joy of animals with Anita de Creeft, and created healthy food and were introduced to foreign  languages with Jenifer Dickson. The wishes of Brother Asaiah Bates continue to positively impact young children in our community.
