Golf tourney supports hospice

Hospice of Homer was proud to hold its fifth annual Holes “Fore” Hospice golf tournament. The event took place at The Tips Homer Golf Course on Saturday, July 19.  The tournament was a fun-filled event and a great success.

Our giving community and businesses provided hole sponsorships, raffle items, and greens fees for the tournament. The generosity of all made for a rewarding fundraiser for Hospice of Homer.

To all the golfers a big thank you for sharing your love of golf in support of Hospice. Congratulations to all the players who participated in the tournament. The first place team winners were Harmon Hall, Alex Koplin, Rosemary Johnson, John Gibson and Chris Morin. The second place team winners were Rene Alvarez, Mike Fell, John Munns and EZ Marchant. The third place team winners were Charlie Rehder, Sandy McDaniel, Lee McDaniel and Ben Alexander. The fourth place team winners were Zen Kelly, Robyn Walls, Rich Kleinleder, Scott Woodland and Terry Anderson.

A special thank you goes to Esa and Scott Woodland for hosting the golf tournament. Their generous gift of donating the course created a great venue and support of hospice.

We look forward to the next Holes “Fore” Hospice golf tournament. Please be sure to watch for the sixth annual event next summer.
