Homer pink for women’s health

More and more pink flags are being raised as we lead up to Kachemak Bay Family Planning Clinic’s 20th Annual Breast Cancer Run and Ride at Mariner Park on Sunday, Aug. 10. Each flag you see at local homes and businesses demonstrates commitment to helping women here in our community access breast cancer screening, treatment, education and other support services provided at no cost through Kachemak Bay Family Planning Clinic.

We’ve been going door to door sharing information on this fun sponsorship opportunity. Did we miss you? Would you like to be part of the “pinking” of Homer? Pink flag displays are available for a $100 donation, and pink car flags are available for $25 donation. To sponsor, give me a call at 235-6736, stop by the clinic at 3959 Ben Walters Lane or email info@kbfpc.org.

As they say, movement is medicine — so join in on the Homer Breast Cancer Run and Ride to help women in our community while you help yourself. Participants have the option to run, walk or bike either a 1-mile or 5-mile loop on the beach. The $35 registration will start at 8 a.m. before the 9 a.m. run and bike start, and pre-registration is available at kbfpc.org.

Thank you for your support!

Go pink for women’s health!
