Whole community reading to kids

Posted: May 29, 2014 - 9:30am

Sprout Imagination Library has been thrilled to see our whole community getting involved in reading to kids. In collaboration with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, we provide books monthly to all children ages birth to 5  years old throughout the Southern Kenai Peninsula.  These engaging, developmentally appropriate books are an integral part of the monthly story times hosted at Boss Hoggz Restaurant on the last Saturday of the month.

Sprout Imagination Library is made possible with generous donations from Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, Alaska Communications Systems, Best Beginnings and private donors.

Lastly, much gratitude to Homer Best Beginnings for bringing Week of the Young Child to our communities. Fun was had by all during Story Tracks at the Wynn Nature Center in partnership with Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies.  We truly appreciate all of our donors and community partners for bringing the gift of reading into the lives of our children and promoting early literacy. For more information on Imagination Library visit www.sproutalaska.org or call 235-6044.
