Scholarship aims at winter fun

Posted: January 23, 2014 - 10:35am

We would like to announce that applications are available for the Rowan W. Springer Memorial Scholarship.  Rowan W. Springer was an avid telemark skier and member of the Homer Rope Tow community. Rowan grew up skiing at the Homer Rope Tow and also helped with various maintenance projects over the years.  He was someone who always encouraged people to get out and enjoy the winter. We would like to continue his legacy and remember him through the Rowan W. Springer Memorial Scholarship.

Two season passes to the Homer Rope Tow will be awarded for one male and one female in grade K-12.  Applications are now available online at the Homer  Rope Tow Facebook page or at K Bay Caffé.  The deadline for entries this year is Feb. 1.
