Best Beginnings is vital resource
Thank you, Best Beginnings Homer, for offering the Quality Enhancement mini grants to local child care providers.
The money awarded Kachemak Kids Early Learning Center will help offset expenses to send three teachers and executive director to the annual conference in Anchorage, presented by the Anchorage Association for the Education of Young Children (AAEYC) in February. The four-day conference is a valuable resource and an opportunity for our staff to continue their professional training in early childhood education. Returning with new knowledge and putting new ideas into practice with children in the classroom is what it’s all about.
Best Beginnings Homer is a vital resource in our community. Not only do they offer support to local child care providers, they have held free Conscious Discipline courses for families, they organized the “Children’s Court” at this year’s Rotary Health Fair, they collaborate with other civic and non-profit organizations such as the Homer Public Library and Sprout and network at local and state levels — all to support and promote early childhood education.
Thank you, Best Beginnings Homer. You are awesome.
