Many hands make Christmas bright

I would like to say thank you to everyone who helped with our Thanksgiving  and Christmas holiday baskets.

Starting out with the Veterans of Foreign War Post 10221 in Anchor Point which pays for most of the food donated. Thank you to the Ladies and Men’s Auxiliaries for their continued donations and help. Thank you to the Anchor Point Senior Center for the donation of turkeys and all the collected food. Thank you to Chapman School who also puts out a donation box for the holiday baskets. Thank you to Anchor Point Hardware owner Theresa Bicondova and Smokin’ owner  John Cox for setting up a donation box.  Thank you to each and every one of you who placed an item in one of these donation boxes. Thank you to the Marine Corps League for the wonderful toy donations that light up the eyes of these children and put smiles on their faces.

To all the Lady Auxiliary Sisters who make the phone calls, prepare the baskets of goodies and patiently wait for the community to pick up their baskets, thank you:  Cherri Gramm, Theresa Bicondova, Patty Eddy, Marcie Donner, Roberta Ness, Sandra Dress, June Picard and Jennifer Henley. Thanks to our commander, Frances Richter, for  picking up the food from Chapman and the turkeys from the senior center. Thanks fo all  the kids who helped load up the food from Chapman. Thank you to Ray Rozak and Eric Henley for helping with the food arrival. Bob Picard, thank you for  delivering holiday baskets for those who could not come to get theirs. Thanks  to RJ Austin for the load of toys. Thank you to the Anchor Point Fire Department for all the stuffed bears. Thanks goes to Country Foods in Kenai for all the  food delivery. Thank you to Share the Spirit for your toy donations and all you  do over the holidays — you all do a great job. Thank you to everyone for  dropping off food and making a donation.

For anyone else who makes this possible and has put in a bit of labor of love, thank you. May you always  know what a difference each and every one of you make. We live in a great  community.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas,
