Writing scholarship rewarding

Posted: May 22, 2013 - 4:55pm

uld like to thank The Homer Foundation for its generous donations through scholarships presented Monday night at the Homer High School scholarship award ceremony for graduating seniors.
Personally, I would like to say a big thank you to Tin Roof Fund donor at the Homer Foundation for awarding me the $3,000 Beluga Tale Fiction Writing Scholarship. It is highly rewarding to receive recognition for my hard work in writing, an honor for which I would like to extend my utmost gratitude to The Homer Foundation.
Furthermore, due to the fact that I am attending Brown University in Providence, R.I., this fall where I plan to continue to pursue learning English literature and having been raised in a low-income family, this scholarship award is particularly accommodating to me.
Again, I would like to reiterate my great thanks for the generosity of the Homer Foundation Beluga Tale Writing Scholarship committee and the Tin Roof Fund donor; I am so very grateful to have been selected to receive this award.
