First student-to-student college fair today

A Homer High Student-to-Student College Fair will be held from 7-9 p.m. today in the HHS commons.

It is an opportunity for high school students to hear current college students speak about their colleges and “lessons learned” through the admission process.

Organizer Elise Nacht Boyer said about eight college students had volunteered to participate in the panel-style session. If there is enough interest, break-out sessions will be offered.

While it will be helpful for high school seniors, Boyer said it also will provide useful information to juniors who are beginning the process for selecting a college.
