High school catches up on GPAs

Putting a final stamp on the 2013-2014 school year, Homer High School has released the following information from the final quarter:

• 55 students achieved Mariner Gold status by earning a 4.0 grade-point-average;

• 89 students achieved Mariner Blue status by earning a GPA between 3.5 and 4.0;

• 13 students earned Honorable Mention by improving their GPAs by at least .5;

• Representing 40 percent of the student body, those 157 students were entered into the Mariner Pride drawing and the following names were drawn and the individuals eligible for a prize: Jacob Davis, Hannah Mershon, Joshua Wisner, Desiree Cleary, Mikylla Blauvelt, August Kilcher, Zach Nelson, Miles Cleary and Trevor Flynn.

Prizes can be collected from Mr. Story in the counseling office.
