Mud and debris floods East End Road by Bear Creek Drive on Monday afternoon. The road as closed about 4:45 p.m.

Another mud slide crossed the road near Slavin Drive by the American Legion Post. Homer Police now advise that East End Road is closed between Slavin Drive and Bear Creek Drive due to mud and debris on the road.

Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities crews are working to clear the road. Alaska State Troopers suggested using Kachemak Drive to get around the road closure.
