A workshop on starting a business will be held from 10 a.m. to noon June 4 at the Homer Chamber of Commerce.

The workshop is free, but pre-registration is required by no later than May 29 at www.aksbdc.org.   

The workshop will cover basic issues faced when starting a small business, including business licensing, legal forms of business, business record-keeping, hiring employees, business planning and access to financing. The workshop, which will be presented by the Alaska Small Business Development Center, will guide participants through the process of starting a small business.
