Gov. Sean Parnell has reappointed Susan Cushing of Homer to the Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, according to a Sept. 27 press release from the governor’s office. The council provides planning and coordination of services to victims of domestic violence or sexual assault and their families, as well as to perpetrators, and provides crisis intervention and prevention programs.

Now retired, Cushing is active in the Homer community and has previously served on the Homer Council on the Arts, Homer Foundation City Grants Review Board, and the South Peninsula Hospital Board.
