First ‘Taste of Homer’ set for Sept. 21 at Wasabi’s
Homer residents and visitors will get the chance to find out what “from farm to table” means during Homer’s first Taste of Homer.
Everyone is invited to bring their appetites to the event which will be from 4-10 p.m. Sept. 21 at Wasabi’s Restaurant.
Featuring food and beverages from some of Homer’s best restaurants, there also will be live music by the Holy Santos Gang and a silent and live auction to benefit the Homer Farmers’ Market. The Homer Trolley will provide transportation to and from the Farmers’ Market parking lot between the hours of 4 and 10 p.m.
The Taste of Homer will feature tastes from Vida’s Thai Food, KBay Roasting Co., Homer Brewing Co., Fritz Creek General Store, Wasabi’s, Vagabond Cafe, Lands End Resort-The Chart Room Restaurant & Lounge, AJ’s Oldtown Steakhouse & Tavern, Fresh Catch Cafe, The Homestead Restaurant, Two Sisters Bakery, Bear Creek Winery, Boss Hoggs, Captain Patties Fish House, Red Bird Sweets, the Homer Farmers’ Market, Seafoods of Alaska, Jakolof Oyster Co. and Al a Carte Cafe.
Early bird tickets are $35, and $40 at the door. Available at the Homer Bookstore, Homer Chamber of Commerce, Homer Farmers’ Market, Land’s End and Wasabi’s, tickets also can be purchased online at www.tasteofhomer.com.
