Amanda Miotke has joined the sales team at Story Real Estate.
While Miotke is a new Realtor, she has a lot of experience in the real estate business having worked for the last six years at Kachemak Bay Title Company.
Chris Story, broker of Story Real Estate, said that he saw Miotke’s “great character, follow through and commitment” in her work at the title company, the same characteristics needed to be a successful Realtor.
Since arriving in Homer, Moitke has been involved in a variety of community activities, including coaching cheerleading for both the Pop Warner program and at the high school and being involved in volunteer work at the animal shelter.
Miotke earned a degree in clothing design from Washington State University.
She and her husband, Dan, who is with the Homer fire department, will celebrate 11 years in the community in February. They have two children and another one on the way.
“This is where we want to raise our family because we think this is such a great place to raise a family,” said Miotke.
While she is still absorbing as much information as she can about her new position, Miotke said one of her strengths will be helping young families who are just starting out and trying to find a home.
Miotke can be reached at 226-3933. Story Real Estate is located at 1005 Carriage Court.
