New bathrooms display work by Homer, Anchorage artists

As part of the city of Homer’s 1-percent for art program, new art has been installed on two Pioneer Avenue bathrooms and two Homer Spit bathrooms. A total of $18,810 was spent on the art projects.

The new art installed is:

• WKFL Park bathroom, Pioneer Avenue and Heath Street, “Two Sandhill Cranes,” by Joshua Nordstrom, Homer, $4,200;

• West Pioneer Avenue bathroom, Pioneer Avenue and Bartlett Street, “Roaming the Land,” by Melisse Reichman, Homer, $4,610;

• End of the Road Park bathroom, Homer Spit, “Danny J,” by Sheila Wyne, Anchorage, $5,000; and

• Deep Water Dock Cruise Ship bathroom and shelter, Homer Spit, “Escher’s Stair,” by Sheila Wyne, Anchorage, $5,000.
