June 6 is Mary Epperson Day

The Homer Council on the Arts honors longtime arts volunteer and music teacher Mary Epperson on June 6, Mary Epperson Day. From 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m., participate in a community art project when Epperson’s former studio, Etude Studio, becomes a canvas. Write and draw on the walls of her studio and express what the arts meant to you. Art supplies will be provided.

At 7:30 p.m., join Queen Volunteer Mary Epperson with cake and music, and honor all Homer Council on the Arts volunteers. Epperson is a performer and music teacher who taught generations of Homer residents to love music and the arts. She is one of the founders of HCOA and a former board president.
