Court records show the following actions taken in Homer District Court through June 10:

Judgments

Richard Nadeau, 55, charge dismissed, fourth-degree assault. He pleaded guilty to driving while license revoked. He was sentenced to 20 days in jail with 10 days suspended and ordered to perform 80 hours of community work service; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $100 probation surcharge with $100 suspended; had his driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.

Troopers

May 28

Alaska State Troopers at 5:30 p.m. received a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a driver on the Sterling Highway in Anchor Point. Troopers stopped the suspect, a 24-year-old Anchor Point man, near Mile 156 Sterling Highway. Troopers arrested him for driving under the influence, drugs.

Homer Police

June 6

Police at 10 a.m. arrested a 52-year-old woman for theft.

A caller at 2:31 p.m. reported a wanted subject in the Greatland Street area. Police arrested a 28-year-old man on three outstanding warrants.

June 7

A caller at 12:56 p.m. reported being threatened and harassed.

A caller at 6:25 p.m. reported a possible orphaned moose calf in the Little Fireweed Lane area.

Homer Fire

June 6-12

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to 12 medical calls, one car crash, one carbon monoxide check, one fire alarm and fire call. The fire call for a possible explosion turned out to be a fire extinguisher with a valve that failed.

Delanie M. Costello, 21, charges dismissed, driving without a driver’s license in possession, driving without a driver’s license.

Troopers

May 29

Alaska State Troopers at 2:15 p.m. stopped a 25-year-old Homer man driving with studded tires near Kasilof and arrested him for driving with a suspended license, possessing heroin and a firearm while being a convicted felon.

June 1

Troopers at 9:21 p.m. checked on a car stopped on the side of the road near Homer. Troopers arrested the driver, a 31-year-old Homer man, for DUI.

June 2

Homer Police

May 27

A caller at 1:48 p.m. reported a verbal dispute at a Pioneer Avenue address. Police separated the parties for the night.

A  person at 4:47 p.m. made a 911 call that a 2-year-old child was accidentally locked in a car at a Crestwood Circle address. Police responded and got the car opened. The child was OK.

Police at 7:54 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 38-year-old man near Mile 171 Sterling Highway. Police issued him a summons for driving while license revoked.

Alaska State Troopers

May 21

Alaska State Troopers at 8 a.m. went to a vehicle crash near Mile 4 East End Road. Troopers said a 24-year-old Homer woman drove off the road in her 2006 Subaru wagon and hit mailboxes and the ditch. The crash totaled her car.

Homer Police

May 23

A person at 7:50 p.m. made a 911 call of a woman screaming and waving her arms on Cook Way. Police responded and found all was OK. The woman was trying to scare away a porcupine.

A caller at 8:12 p.m. reported a man overboard trying to get back into a boat on Kachemak Bay. Police contacted the harbor office. A harbor officer went to the boat and found all was OK.

May 24

A caller at 1:26 a.m. reported a disruptive man at a Bartlett Street address. Police responded.

May 23-30

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to seven medical calls, one dog rescue and three fire calls.

May 26

Firefighters at 10:16 a.m. went to a Claudia Street home to help get a dog over the edge of a hill near a drainage.

Firefighters at 6:15 p.m. went to a Mission Road home for smoke with no burn permit.
