Alaska State Troopers went to a report of a burglary at Cavalry Baptist Church in Ninilchik. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

Sept. 10

Police at 12:34 a.m. contacted an 18-year-old man driving on Main Street and arrested him for driving under the influence, drugs, and two counts of second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, methamphetamines.

A caller at 7 a.m. reported a man died at an Elderberry Court home. Police and medics responded.

A caller at 9:15 a.m. reported someone vandalized an art project at Mariner Park on the Spit.

Aug. 16

Alaska State Troopers at 10:45 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 30-year-old Homer woman driving on Kachemak Drive. Troopers arrested her for driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

Aug. 18

Troopers at 12:36 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 23-year-old Homer woman driving without headlights illuminated on the Sterling Highway near Soundview Avenue. Troopers arrested the woman for DUI.

A caller at 12:55 p.m. asked for an officer to speak to his young son about stealing.

A caller at 1:42 p.m. reported harassment at an FAA Road address.

A caller at 2:46 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person at a Shirley Court address. Police did not find anyone home and would be on the lookout for a woman and her car. The victim later responded to the emergency room at South Peninsula Hospital.

Police at 4:55 p.m. served a restraining order on a person at the harbor.

A person at 8:18 a.m. made a 911 call of a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a driver on the Spit. Police stopped the suspect driver and arrested a 39-year-old man for driving under the influence.

Police at 11:46 a.m. contacted a 33-year-old woman on Pioneer Avenue and arrested her on an outstanding warrant.

A caller at 4:55 p.m. reported a respondent with a restraining order was at a Poopdeck Street address and refused to leave. Police responded.
