Kachemak Heritage Land Trust holds its 13th annual auction at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Wasabi’s. Music is by the Spit City Slickers. The first Land at Heart Award also will be given to Lynn Whitmore of Kachemak Moose Habitat Inc. Tickets are $60 and on sale at KHLT, 315 Klondike Ave., or the Homer Bookstore. Kachemak Emergency Service Area Board holds its regular monthly board meeting at 7 p.m. today at the Kenai Peninsula Borough Annex building at 206 E. Pioneer Ave. The public is welcome to attend. For more information, call 235-9811.

Zumba holds Party in Pink, a Zumbathon charity event, from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at Homer Middle School. Proceeds go to the Zumba global research grant for breast cancer prevention. At the event survivor gift baskets also will be given to two Homer survivors of breast cancer.

The Homer Hockey Association holds a pie auction and spaghetti and salmon dinner from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the Homer Elks Lodge. The event is open to all and includes family-friendly fun, door prizes, food and pies. Dessert donations can be dropped off at 4 p.m. A suggested donation of $20 helps support the hockey association and the Kevin Bell Arena. Laura Louise Wayne Delehanty has been named to the Juniata College, Huntington, Pa., 2014 Spring Dean’s List. To make the list, students must have at least a 3.6 grade average. She is the daughter of Steven J. Delehanty and Wendy A. Wayne.
